Customer Reviews

I wanted to save some money by installing my own struts. I don't like the idea of having a spring slip on the workbench, so I played it safe and bought a prefab. The installation was an easy process, but after 300 miles they started to squeak. I hear the squeaking when turning the wheels, when riding down the street, and most recently just getting in and out of the vehicle. Yes, I'm certain that it is the struts. I opened the hood and put my ear next to the strut tower. Just placing a little weight on the suspension makes it squeak. The sound is unmistakably related to the struts, and it is worse on hotter days. I did some research and it turns out to be a common issue with quick struts. Some people claim that the sound goes away after some period of time. I really don't care if they break in or not. I do not recommend anyone buy these things, and I know that I will never do so again.
