Body Mount Kit
Not happy about the fit
I ordered a set of mounts for my f 250 super duty. Since my original mounts were disintegrated I had what remained if them removed and my body lifted on jacks in preparation for my new mounts to arrive. It took a bit of time for them to arrive. When I began installing the new mounts. The truck frame has an oblong slot that will accept the mounts so as to align them and the body. The mounts drop into the oblong slots in the frame. I found that the new daystar mounts have a smaller size than the original and are sloppy in the frame. While they are the proper thickness I am quite sure that they sent me the incorrect mounts. The paperwork did specify that they fit my make, year, model, etc. I tried to call daystar twice and was sick of being on hold. I out them in, had to align the cab/ body by hand since the mounts didn't fit the frame slots, and cranked them down. I needed my truck for work and could not find any new ones locally. I am probably going to order a new set from another company and just eat the loss as I assume that I cannot return used mounts. If you purchase daystar mounts compare them with the original mounts and make sure the oblong side that fits in the frame slots are the correct size.
