Why is this same tail light listed as same part number with 2 different shades of red and both for a sel at 2 different prices?Tom R.Feb 21, 2021

You were actually looking at the 2 options available for the same side drive side. The difference is CAPA and non-CAPA certification. The Q at the end of the part number denotes a CAPA certified part. The one without a Q is a non-CAPA certified part.
The Certified Automotive Parts Association(CAPA) is a non-profit organization that certifies the quality of automotive parts used for collision repairs. CAPA oversees a testing and inspection program that certifies the quality of automotive parts used for collision repairs. CAPA ensures that parts meet quality standards for fit, component materials, and corrosion resistance. The certification requires some cost to be carefully tested for Quality and durability.
However, for the non CAPA, keep in mind that being non-CAPA certified doesn't necessarily mean lower quality. In many cases the parts are just as good but the manufacturer chooses not to pursue CAPA certification in order to cut costs.
