I just bought a 2008 Crown Vic "P71" police interceptor. I'm 99% sure the car was originally sold in Washington state. Unlike many of these, my car did not suffer the fate of becoming a taxi. 138XXX original miles. No rust & never been wrecked. Mint interior still has the new car smell. Prior to me purchasing it, it had sat for "4 or 5 years", according to the previous owner. Sometime within that 4 or 5 years it was a victim of a cat burglar. They only got the passenger side cat (the side facing away from the street, of course). The wires leading to both oxygen sensors connectors were cut, leaving about 6" of the wires hanging. I purchased an Evan Fischer factory replacement cat, (the full piece, from the exhaust manifold to the exhaust pipe under the car). I also purchased the two oxygen sensors. My question is- what can I do about the missing connectors to the oxygen sensors pigtails? And where do those wires go to in the car? (Common sense tells me they go to the ECM). These connectors are NOT available at auto parts stores. Am I looking at sourcing some from a parts car? Please tell me I don't have to splice into the wiring harness! I'm trying to keep her all (or mostly) original, but I'll do whatever I need to do to make it right.The Doggfather.May 24, 2023
