Best Answer:Hi John, I'm glad to assist you. The o-ring can be ordered separately. Yes, it is pre-filled with a certain amount of oil. But manufacturers recommend that you drain the "shipping oil" and refill with the "proper PAG oil" amount upon installation. The other purpose of the added oil is to protect the compressor during its stay on the dealer's shelves, retailers' stores, and in the course of transport. Once installed on your vehicle, that is when you will start to begin the a/c charging process. Have it done by a certified mechanic or your trusted local repair shop?
