Product Q&A

I was driving my 02 chrysler sebring lx (2.4L 4 door Dohc engine) when the bottom bolt holding the alternator belt tensioner snapped. Ive fixed it with heli coils.. however now i can't get the arm on the belt tensioner to move at all so replacing the belt is impossible. Im using the ratchet in the square hole and kinda using the other bolt hole as a pivot point? Im clueless about cars & Google gets credit for what I've accomplished so far. Can i blow PB blaster in that little cylinder? (Underneath the black casing) Or can i somehow 'reset' it since it's an automatic tensioner? And can someone explain how im supposed to be doing this (getting the arm to move up and down) in as much detail as possible and in layman's terms please? Think 'Tensioners 4 Dummies '. :) All i can find online is for 6 cylinders...theres NOTHING for this belt on a 4 cylinder 2002. Thanks!KileyApr 27, 2022
