Best Answer:Hi Russell, thank you for reaching out! It varies from vehicle to vehicle. Some vehicles have the pump outside of the tank, hence it does not come with a sending unit. In some cases, you can replace just the pump instead of the whole pump and sending unit assembly so some people choose that since it's cheaper.
