Hello, i have an 05 dodge dakota and i have the side mirror casing just no mirror glass itself. Is this a direct oem fit? And how would i put it on?Austin S.May 24, 2020
Best Answer:Hi Austin. Yes, this is an OE Replacement for a 2005 Dodge Dakota. To install it, you need to put a silicone adhesive on the back of the glass and put it into the mirror housing.

Be careful what you wish for
My experience with this product was far from positive! Using the fitment chart, this was a 100% guaranteed fit for the 2007 Dakota we have. Unfortunately it was not even close but it would have worked in the 2005 Dakota we have. When I was given the chance to CHAT by the website to try to correct the problem, the fun really started. The person on the other end couldn't figure out why it wouldn't fit and was confused by the whole thing. The fit chart has issues and the only remedy they had was to return it with no guarantee that they could get the 100% correct product to me. Dealing with this person was extremely frustrating and the solutions offered were comical at best. I called the local parts house and had the correct mirror glass in 2 days.
