Brand New Alternator, hopefully my last!
My 2000 Dodge Durango (5.9L) was purchased October 9, 1999. The Original Alternator lasted (19) years (9) months. I replaced it on July 25, 2019. Started to make a howling noise and this first replacement failed on March 2, 2020. Now in October of 2020 this second replacement started to make a howling noise, but shows no other sign of failing YET. I purchased my THIRD ALTERNATOR this time from CarParts.com and it lists as NEW, not re-conditioned, or remanufactured. I’m keeping it as a READY SPARE!
