From Eric, 1996, Dodge Dakota, heater relay. Sept 17, 22. I can't find a fuse box on the passenger compartment side. A photograph might be helpful. There is a fuse box on the driver's side but no space/place for such a relay. There is a fuse/relay box under the hood on the drivers side, but I can't identify anything that indicates a heater relay. I'm thinking maybe a 30 amp fuse and a thruwall ballast replacement, but I am only guessing at this point in time. I've got no heat and I've got no fan. I can't find any kind of heater control valve going to the heater core. I was contemplating some copper tubing and an on/off turn knob somewhere inside the cab.  I live without it, a friend of mine spent a fortune going to a mechanic, they replaced a core and dozens of gismo things, and it finally works somewhat. If you can help, I would really appreciate it. I am an old man and I realized this is what war and bankruptcy is really all about when it finally comes home to roost, from marketing, to after marketing, to "O" rings, till death do us part. It's just that simple. Question, is it fixable?Eric L.Sep 27, 2022
Best Answer:Hi Eric, Have you tried replacing the blower motor resistor? That seems to be the most common cause of this problem.
