My Jeep bogs down and stumbles on strong acceleration..... Is it my tos?Fred P.Jan 28, 2023
Best Answer:Hi Fred, I'm glad to assist you. Yes. That is one of the several symptoms of a bad throttle position sensor. This part fits many GM models. Please provide the complete information about your vehicle (year, make, model, submodel, and engine size).

Throttle Position Sensor
Works as advertised,
Was having problems with high idle in my 1996 Jeep Cherokee, and one of the suggestions was to swap out this sensor. It helped a ton, and was a good fit. Slightly different than the original but fits the same slot, and the Jeeps computer recognizes it. Definitely helped solve the problem. Several months down the road and there is no sign the sensor is wearing out, so safe to say it’s good for the long run. Only downside was that mine was missing one of the two screws for some reason? But I’m going to say it was a rare thing, most likely y’all normally would have both. If nothing else what I did was use the old ones and they fit the same, so no real issues there but I figure I’d mention it.
