This fits the 1998 Ford Taurus SE and SE Comfort 6 Cyl 3.0L (NOTE: This part is NOT for the LX and SHO Submodels) that has Federal type emissions. Please check the Vehicle Emission Control Information sticker usually found underneath the hood of the car to make sure the catalytic converter matches the car's Emission label specifications. 1999 Saturn SL2 catalytic converter
Like many fellow Canadians I was facing an "E" test to renew my plate. Last time (2 years ago) I left it too late (assuming my Saturn would pass) It didn't and the dealership eagerly anticipated a $1400.00 replacement Catalytic Converter assembly. I was able to fend this off by reaching the $450.00 gov't determined threshold repair minimum to get a conditional pass. This year I prepared early and with a $70.00 Cat. Conv. + a flex pipe from garage and I passed my "E" test with flying colors.
