What is the correct ohm range that the coolant temperature sensor on a 2013 Dodge Journey Crew should work in? And how many ohms does this sensor that they sell work with? ThanksMARCO R.Aug 15, 2024
Best Answer:Hi Marco, thanks for initiating contact. For the coolant temperature sensor on your 2013 Dodge Journey Crew 6 Cyl 3.6L, the correct resistance (ohm) range typically varies depending on the coolant temperature. Cold engine (around 68°F or 20°C): The resistance should be approximately 2,500 to 3,500 ohms. Warm engine (around 176°F or 80°C): The resistance should drop to about 300 to 400 ohms. Hot engine (around 212°F or 100°C): The resistance should be around 200 to 300 ohms. The sensor works by providing a varying resistance based on the temperature of the coolant, which the ECU (Engine Control Unit) interprets to adjust engine parameters accordingly. If the resistance is outside of these ranges at the respective temperatures, it may indicate a faulty sensor. If you're interested, use the link below to order while the part is in stock.
