What fan clutch is correct for my 2004 Silverado 1500 4wd z71 with 5.3 v8?Robert C.Mar 28, 2021
Best Answer:Hi Robert, I'm glad to help you out. As per checking, this is a guaranteed fit for your 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Z71 8 Cyl 5.3L, except A/C Manual Control(C60). This is also with HEAVY DUTY HEATER(C42). The drivetrain 4WD or 2WD is not important for this kind of part. I hope this helps. Happy shopping.

what is a heavy duty heater ?A shopperMar 01, 2021
Best Answer:Hi, If it is Heavy-Duty Thermal: Turns the fan 80-90% of the shaft speed when engaged for increased cooling. Used with deeper pitch fans (2 1/2" of pitch)-for the fan clutch with heavy duty heater. You can check your owner's manual for this detail or call your local dealership, provide your vehicle's complete VIN so they could advise you of what you originally have (Standard duty, Heavy duty or Severe duty thermal).
