Carparts packaged the OE alternator very nicely. They shipped it same or next day and mail service delivered quickly. Thanks guys! Now for the reason I bought this to hopefully help someone else. 2017 Silverado had to be jumped every morning and check engine light was on. Dealer said it was a bad battery and replaced. Issue fixed for a week then returned. Returned truck to dealer who had it for an additional 3 weeks and couldn't figure out what was wrong. I drove the truck home from the dealer and noticed the battery gauge fluctuating like crazy on the dash. Combined that with the symptoms of it dying every morning despite being used the previous day and I replaced the alternator which immediately stopped the gauge from fluctuating. Truck has been performing great every since. Dealer informed me the code meant the truck had died and needed to be jumped. I was about to clear the code after replacing the alternator but decided to check what it meant. One of the common issues related to the code was a faulty alternator. Long story short, if you have the time, do your own research and work on your vehicle. I replaced the alternator with original equipment for less than what the dealer charged me to install a new battery.
