Where does this part go on the transmission?WormieJun 29, 2021
Best Answer:Hi Tim, I'm glad to help you out. The automatic transmission solenoids are usually located within the valve body, the transmission control unit, or the transmission control module. In most cases, solenoids are located inside of the oil pan, connected to the valve body. Depending on what you drive. I hope this helps. I have a 2003 Buick rendezvous that has a transmission that when it's cold first thing in the morning will shift all gears just fine. You turn it off turn it back on it goes first gear then second gear and that's it but the 3or4th time turning it off turning it back on most of the time it will start shifting properly again. Will this shift solenoid fix the problem or am I just having wishful thinking.? Also where is the shift solenoid located at on this vehicle.....?Kenny T.Apr 02, 2021
Best Answer:Hi Kenny, I'm glad to help you out. As per checking, one symptons of a failing or bad automatic transmission solenoid is - "hard to shift gears..or stuck to nuetral." Still, it is best to have that consulted with a certified mechanic for an accurate diagnostic and repair since there might be other parts that may need to be replaced as well. I hope this helps. Happy shopping.
