98 Chevy k1500 how to check control module ?TerryOct 06, 2022
Best Answer:Hi Terry, If you cannot accelerate as fast as you should, or your gears are slipping, your car is unsafe to drive (even if it’s still semi-operable). Contact your local transmission mechanic to get it checked out immediately.

I have a 1999 Tahoe LS 4x4 with COLD transmission shifting issues. WHERE is the TRANSMISSION control module located? I ha e replaced the TRANSFER CASE CONTROL MODULE and the ECM with no helpful results.  I'm trying to LOCATE  the TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE to replace it.Bry_72Sep 07, 2021
Best Answer:Hello! Before I look that up for you, I highly recommend having your vehicle inspected by a professional transmission repair shop. Automatic transmissions are notoriously difficult to diagnose, and I wouldn't want to recommend a part that I wasn't sure would fix your car. It sounds to me like there is more of a hydraulic or internal clutch issue, not a failed transmission control module.
