Performance and fuel economy gains: 1988 Chevy 305
I was hesitant about paying so much for an intake system, especially considering the stock intake seems like it took cold air from the wheel well, but this was a good buy. The parts seem to be all quality and it was quite easy to install. Besides the gasket that did not properly fit without trimming, this system was easy installing. It did not make my engine louder but it did add a nice whooshing sound when you step on the gas. I have witnessed better pedal responsiveness even on hot days, improved acceleration, and fuel economy gains that should come out to about 60 miles per fill up. My truck used to shiver sometimes on hotter days while idling at red lights but it does not seem to do so now. I am very pleased with the system so far and it should pay itself off with the fuel economy gains.
