I got one of these a few months back, but a couple nights ago was in a bit of a fender bender, and the mirror snapped off. The base that the mirror was on is still completely intact, no broken pieces or anything, it looks like the mirror was maybe meant to snap off. My question is, if I buy another one, am I able to just take the mirror part and snap it back on top the existing base? That door won't open for the foreseeable future, so I won't be able to do a complete install of both. But if the mirror part can be installed on the base as is, that would be great. Exterior mirror for 2003 Chevy cavalier
The upper corner was defected, luckily it was the thinnest part of the plastic . I was very lucky when I tightened the bolt it didn't break off the corner. There was approximately a 3/ 32 of a inch gap which I filled in with silicone. Send me the mirror for the other side and we can continue with the restoration. Call me to confirm the sale .
