TRANSDAPT – EFI & MPFI ALUMINUM THROTTLE BODY SPACERS

Don’t you want your engine to have more torque? Dramatically increase torque for a relatively low cost by installing a Transdapt EFI or MPFI Aluminum Throttle Body Spacer. This spacer effectively increases air intake volume and velocity and prepares the intake air for passing by the throttle blade which results in much better combustion efficiency. This amazing and simple part bumps torque dramatically while also increasing fuel efficiency thanks to improved combustion. Transdapt started in 1959 when founder Willie Garner created transmission adapters to be able to bring together engines and transmissions that were not made to work with each other in order to build the best performing custom cars. Through the years, Transdapt expanded and added carburetor adapters, engine swap kits and then a full line of chrome dress-up parts to add more style to your daily driver or your show car.

Customer Reviews

The photo-realistic CAD rendering looks much better than the real thing. The sealing surfaces on both sides were very poorly finished. On the first attempt to install, it leaked very badly, made a lot of sucking noise and the engine would barely stay running. I resurfaced the sealing surfaces on my milling machine. The surfaces were so messed up that I needed to machine approx .040" off each face to get the face flat. Now it seals up OK and the engine runs fine. I haven't had it on long enough to know about any MPG gains. It uses a gasket between the spacer and the throttle body. I do not recommend that. There is a reason for the o-ring style rubber seal that is between the throttle body and the intake manifold. I recommend paying a little more for your throttle body spacer and getting one that has a groove machined in the face for the same type of seal that fits into the top of the manifold. You will get better sealing without having to risk damage to the throttle body because of the silly 3-bolt mounting. The throttle body should have a 4 bolt mounting, but there is nothing we can do about that.

i have a 1997 GMC YUKON it took me like 30 minutes to install this and it works. it used to take me a quarter tank of gas to get to and from work now it takes me half that. it wasn't a huge increase in horse power like it said it would be but you can feel a little bit more low end torque. its a great product and i am amazed at the gain in gas mileage i got out of it.
