Best Answer:Hi Kevin, The shape of the housing is different compared to the 1st design. The other design has sharper corners while this is more rounded.

We recommend you call your local dealership and provide the GM OEM part number of this mirror which is 15105940. You have to provide the complete VIN of your truck as well, so the dealership can provide you with the original (OEM) part number of the mirror you have. I don't know weather it's the vehicle (somebody changed before cause the bolts are bigger and the plug is 10 pin and I have 8) or it's wrong. I sent a email explaining days ago and never heard back. So It's your call. the mirror is fine the price makes it worth doing and putting on for now.
