The regulator for the rear passanger door of my 99 528i BMW was a perfect fit, however, the 2 threded mounting screw holes on the bottom where the motor is were for a very different type of screw than my original regulator. The old regulator had large plastic rough threded sheet metal type screws and these screws would not fit in the new regulator. I had to buy 2 metric metal machine threded screws as screws did not come with the new regulator. Other than that it was an easy job and the regulator fit perfectly. I have opened and closed the window about 20 times since the install and so far everything is works fine.
