I have a 2005 BMW 645CI. If this part was bad on my car, would it cause it to shift hard and pop out of gear while sitting at a red light?Troy K.May 07, 2023
Best Answer:Hi Troy, thank you for reaching out. Not necessarily. Some of the symptoms of a failing crankshaft position sensor are intermittent stalling, issues starting the vehicle, check engine light coming on, uneven acceleration, engine misfires, and rough idle, among others. We highly recommend that a certified mechanic diagnose your vehicle to pinpoint the part needing replacement. Have a nice day.
