Kidding can cause cancer really I grew up with lead paint ,riding in the back of pick up trucks drinking out of Green water hoses no air-conditioning  black tvs in the 60s and 70s no damn Cell phones no no computers playing outside all day long riding bicycles . The notice you see is a California requirement due to California's very strict rules about disclosure. The materials used in making this product are probably no different than the ones you would see in products sold in other states. All manufacturers are required to post this warning. As there may be potentially harmful chemicals used while in the factory. In reality, there is very little risk. We advise some of our customers who're worried about that disclosure to simply wash the part in soap and water and rinse thoroughly.
