A:BEST ANSWERHI, To replace the top cylinders on a 600SL Mercedes, you will need to follow these steps: Prepare the car: Park the car on a level surface and make sure it is secure. Locate the top cylinders: The top cylinders are located in the trunk area, on either side of the convertible top mechanism. Remove the old cylinders: Unbolt the old cylinders and disconnect any hydraulic lines. Install the new cylinders: Mount the new cylinders in place and reconnect the hydraulic lines. Test the top operation: Raise and lower the convertible top to make sure the new cylinders are working correctly. It's recommended to have some mechanical knowledge and experience or have the assistance of a professional mechanic to perform this task. Show less
