A:BEST ANSWERHi Jose, I'm glad to assist you. Typically, an engine has two camshaft position sensors: one for the intake camshaft and one for the exhaust camshaft. The sensors are often located at different positions along the camshafts. The terms "upper" and "lower" can be a bit ambiguous because the orientation of the engine can vary (front-wheel drive vs. rear-wheel drive, transverse vs. longitudinal layout, etc.). However, in a transverse (front-wheel drive) engine, the upper sensor is usually associated with the intake camshaft, and the lower sensor is associated with the exhaust camshaft. It's crucial to consult the specific service manual or repair documentation for your vehicle to determine the exact locations and configurations of the camshaft position sensors. Show less
