Product Questions & Answers

Q:I own a 1999 B4000 Mazda 4WD. About two months ago I had a local repair shop bleed the brakes for the first time since new. About two weeks ago the ABS brakes started to act in the following manner: as I slowed down to around 20 - 30 MPH the brake pedal would give as though the brake system lost pressure. After a couple of inches of pedal height, the pressure will increase enough to apply pressure to the brakes again. The pedal at this point is pretty low to the floorboard though. Would anyone help in diagnosing this problem? Show Less

A:BEST ANSWERHello! I would check the brake fluid level, it sounds like it could be low or there is/was an air bubble stuck in the system somewhere. If the fluid level is good, I would have the shop that bled the brakes try bleeding again, otherwise the master cylinder could be failing. Show less
