Tube installation on Beetle.
The part arrived promptly and fixed the problem (the old pipe had split in two places). For my car, a 2001 VW Bettle 2.0L, then the small centre tapping is not used so I had to get an additional vacuum blanking cap from Autozone. (could it be part of the kit from Autoparts?). In addition on the Beetle the vacuum port at the rear of the inlet manifold is very difficult to get to and remove the thicker section of the tube. I found that I had to remove the factory fitted metal clip (bit tricky) and pull the old spilt tube out leaving the original thicker section in place. I then inserted the new tube into that (a bit of washing up liquid helps to lubricate) and then locked in place with a Jubilee clip (Autozone again). Installation into the brake servo is an easy press fit. Problem solved, brakes working and able to cancel Check Engine light.
