- Check the condition of your windshield wipers.
Since the windshield wipers are not always being used, some people dismiss the idea of having to check up on it. Yes, you only use them during rainy days, but that doesn't mean that they don't get worn out too. The rubber in your wiper blades are greatly affected by the heat during summer which causes them to weaken and be easily worn out during the rainy season. And you know how important those windshield wipers are, especially when you're driving on a rainy night. So, make sure that the rubber inside the wipers can still effectively clean your windshield.
- Have your engine filter replaced.
Once engine maintenance is mentioned, the first thing that comes to mind would be an oil change. But one thing people tend to forget is that not all engine upkeep checks are under the hood. The engine filter, for example, needs to be replaced once it has already accumulated too much dirt and debris. Not only is it filthy to look at, but a dirty and worn-out engine filter could also pose a threat to how your engine performs because the engine needs the proper mixture of air and gasoline in order for it to function properly. The dirt and debris could block the air flow and affect the engine performance as a result. So, next time you have an oil change, don't forget to check your engine air filter as well.
