Have you already changed the resistor or are you asking if you need to change it? When a blower resistor fails, the highest fan speed usually is the only one that still works because it essentially bypasses the resistor and receives the maximum amount of voltage. Best Answer:Hello! Generally, when the blower motor resistor fails, the blower will still work on the highest setting. The first thing I would do is check your fuses, and if they are good, and the blower still doesn't work on any setting, then I would suspect your blower motor has failed
