The Hummer is set to return to the market later this year as an electric vehicle under the GMC brand. With the continuous rise in demand and its Edition 1 selling out within hours after reservations opened, GMC is trying to make the most of the model however it can.
The GMC Hummer EV pickup has a starting price of $79,995 for its base model. The range-topping Edition 1, on the other hand, retails for $112,595. These prices make the Hummer EV considerably more expensive than the Tesla Cybertruck and Rivian R1T even before options are added.
For customers who don’t mind spending, GMC is further sweetening the pot by offering hundreds of accessories to maximize the potential of the highly anticipated pickup. More than improving its appearance, the accessories are also meant to enhance the vehicle’s capabilities.
Hummer Nation claims there are about 200 of these accessories. It cited sources familiar with accessory strategy at General Motors, but the specifics remain to be known.
Still, people anticipate the following to be included in that long list of add-ons: splash guards, mirror caps, special emblems, assist steps for easy cabin access, as well as bed mats, tailgate liners, and custom tonneau covers.
For interior accessories, GM is popular for illuminated door sill plates, interior trim kits, carpeted floor mats, and premium all-weather floor liners. These are all options that could join other accessories unique to the Hummer EV pickup.
The complete list of accessories for the model is expected to be released before it goes on sale this fall.
