Honda is introducing a used-vehicle leasing program in Southern California and Florida to provide a more flexible leasing option for customers looking to get their hands on certified Honda and Acura models.

The automaker is working with car-leasing platform Fair for the pilot program, which will initially run for six months. If it turns out to be successful, Honda said there is a possibility for the program to be expanded.

A total of six Honda dealerships in Southern California, plus 13 Honda and Acura dealerships in southern Florida, will be part of the program. From these dealerships, customers can lease certified pre-owned vehicles, which they will have to sign for through the Fair app.

fter six months of the pilot launch, Honda says it will assess the popularity of the program before deciding whether to expand it to other dealerships in the United States.

In this new leasing program, customers are given the opportunity to choose a lease term that is more convenient for them. There is an option for a month-to-month term or a longer, more traditional agreement with the dealership.

Like other vehicles leased through Fair, the CPO vehicles from Honda and Acura will come with routine maintenance, roadside assistance, and as a limited warranty that lasts through the entire duration of the lease.
