RYDERZ4LIFE
A:BEST ANSWERHi Robin, I'm glad to help you out. There is a possibility, a defective solenoid can cause a lack of pressure, resulting in a hard, soft, or delayed shifting. It can also cause transmission slippage, where your engine revs faster, but the car stays at the same speed. Though these are the common signs, we would still advise you to consult a mechanic before deciding to change the solenoid to make sure if it's the part that is needed to be changed. I hope this helps. Happy shopping. Show less

Q:It's the transmission selonoid the same as the tcc selonoid. Are they the same thing ? I say torque converter closed. When scanned with OBD scanner. Show Less
Donnie S.
A:BEST ANSWERHi Donnie, I'm glad to assist you. No, it isn't. An automatic transmission solenoid controls the flow of transmission fluid, which in turn governs the shifting of gears and other functions within the transmission. While the TCC solenoid is responsible for engaging and disengaging the torque converter clutch, which is a mechanism that connects the engine's output to the transmission input. I hope this helps, and happy shopping. Show less
