Product Questions & Answers

Q:In MI & temp just hit about 8 * F.  Past week, been having a difficult time, starting in Park, have to pull the shifter up & back or go to Neutral.  Family member in Hospital with C-19, got home parked in driveway, got to passenger door & vehicle slid into street.  Been some years since I did a tighten up on the (2) T-30 bolts, {is this the fix} or can I replace the steering column "shift column linkage indicator" easily?  Just had surgery few weeks back & trying not to do it a third time. Thanks  Daryl,  - 2001 Ford Expedition 4x4 Eddie Bauer 5.4 engine.  Rolled down the drive & apparently was not in park, was clicking.  Thought I was on ice, but nope.   Started up & all was fine, parked in street on a flat. Show Less

A:BEST ANSWERHello! Does the shifter feel like it is accurately engaging the rest of the gears in the proper location? My first thought is that the shift linkage has come loose and is not fully engaging park, but you would normally be able to tell that the rest of the gears feel a bit off as well. Show less
