What is the difference between the standard pedal position sensor, direct fit, or the pedal position sensor with floor mount?  DianeDiane B.May 25, 2024
Best Answer:Hi Diane, I'm glad to assist you. The Standard is a brand name, the part is an accelerator pedal position sensor, which is floor mounted, as stated or described (the other brand is a Replacement aftermarket brand, but currently out of stock). The is no other different type/version of this part. If your car appears in the vehicle fitment information below (after selecting the year, make, model, submodel, and engine size), it is a guaranteed fit part. Red flashing lightening bolt on code P2122 comes up now after i replace throttle body. I already replaced the pedal position sensor and that didn't fix still getting code I also installed a new battery. Any suggestions?Jennifer D.May 30, 2021
Best Answer:Hi Jennifer, I'm glad to help you out. As per checking, the code points to a defective throttle position sensor with a low voltage reading. The possible solutions are as follows; 1. Carefully check the throttle position sensor (TPS), wiring connector, and wiring for breaks, etc. Repair or replace as necessary 2. Check the voltage at the TPS (refer to a service manual for your vehicle for specific information). If the voltage is too low that is indicative of a problem. Replace if necessary. 3. If recently replaced the TPS may need to be adjusted. On some vehicles the installation instructions call for the TPS to be properly aligned or adjusted, consult a repair manual for specifics. If there are no symptoms at all, the problem may be intermittent and clearing the code may resolve the issue temporarily. 4. If this is the case then you should definitely check the wiring to be sure it's not rubbing on anything, grounding, etc. The code may come back. I hope this helps. Happy shopping.
