Best Answer:Hi Marvin, I'm glad to help you out. This kit is guaranteed to fit the 1998 Jaguar XJ8 Base and L, 8 Cyl 4.0L. By recharge, do you mean the freon? If so, it is not included in this kit. You would still be needing this kit after freon has been charged to the a/c as it is best to have a new receiver drier and expansion valve to protect the rest of the A/C system against moisture damage.
