Product Questions & Answers

Q:I have a 1998 ford Ranger xlt 4 door. Tailgate will not stay latched. Rods are adjusted, side latches operate by hand but apparently do not latch. Do the latches need replacement? Show Less
Police1503
A:BEST ANSWERHello! You might be able to try and latch them while the tailgate is open with pliers or a screwdriver or something. If they latch, then it must be an alignment issue. Remember to use the handle to release them before trying to close the tailgate again. Show less
