Fixed issue of clattering steering shaft on my 2006 Chev. Silverado. My mechanic said the Dorman replacement is excellent quality. He has replaced many of these steering shafts on this model truck and has yet to replace the Dorman product a second time.

So I was having good ol front end "shakes" & after a bit of research I found the steering shaft had a tiny bit of play. So I bought this one which said it would replace the "said" oe GM part with this problem. Install went well but the problem returned. I told my mech that the shaft was new, 1.5 years old, & hoped that there was a 2 year warranty because it was still the problem. I can't believe it! I'm finding it very uncomfortable towing the trailer with this looseness... Don't buy this shaft. After the tough grease wears out, it's the same problem!
