Product Questions & Answers

Q:There were a lot of problems with the OEM pumps with the relief valve getting stuck open and oil pushing out of the seals. I currently have that problem. Is this redesigned so that won't happen? Show Less
Jordan G.
A:BEST ANSWERHi Jordan, I'm glad to help you out. This is original equipment (OE) replacement oil pump which would be a good idea to replace as it comes with the seals and the gasket. Pressure relief valve leaks usually occur when the valve isn’t properly seated or when the seal is broken or damaged. Leaks can also happen when the pressure relief valve is operating too close to the set point. You can also run a check on the harmonic balancer/damper. The damper reduces the harmonics and keeps the stock gears alive, stock gears don't cause the relief valve to stick. I hope this helps. You can click on the link below to easily order this oil pump and take advantage of our ongoing sale and limited stocks.
