Product Questions & Answers

Q:I have been googling about key fobs for my 2006 chevy cobalt 2.4 ss but there are 2 different fobs that go to my car 1 has remote start and 1 don't, my fobs that I got with my car don't have remote start on it. Now there is 1 that is compatible for my car and there is a transmitter. I'm not sure if my car has remote start because it's at the chevy dealer at this time, they aren't open for me t[o call and ask. So I need to know what I can do if it don't have remote start, I want this feature. What do I need to buy to have this option. Is that the purpose of a transmitter? Or what is that for? Do I need to purchase the kit and have it installed ? Or what? I don't understand why there are 2 fobs to my car that is remote start and not, both are compatible,  but the difference is the # at the end of digits you need to order your correct fobs, at the end of the #s ,1 ends with a 3 and the other ends in a 4. 1 is a 4 button remote, the other is 5. This makes no sence to me I don't wanna get the wrong one. I want to get the 1 that has remote start, but I have never used or tried the fob that came with my car 5 years ago, don't know if it works or not. My car is a 2006 chevy cobalt ss 2.4. Please help me to understand this and get the right parts needed no matter what that may be. Thanks so much. Show Less
