Will this one work on the rear driver side door?Noe V.Jun 20, 2024
Best Answer:Hi Noe, thanks for initiating contact. No, this will not work for the rear driver-side door. This is only for the front driver or passenger sides. I suggest calling our parts specialists at 1-866-529-0412 to provide the vehicle information so we can help you look for the right part. Have a good one.

I had a continuing problem with my '02 Windstar battery going dead. I determined there was a drain somewhere. Then a "Door ajar" light came on at the dash. I found out I have 6 door jamb switches. I asked a friend to use his diagnostic scanner to pinpoint which door was the problem. Turns out he could not a reading because I was disconnecting the battery to prevent the draining after every use. Sooo, I had to start dismantling the interior of the doors to find the culprit. On the fourth switch the problem showed up. The problem was the switch had come apart. I think it sustained an impact when a power window motor was replaced. I ordered a replacement switch and it went right in and works just fine. I think I saved a lot of money doing it myself.
