A:BEST ANSWERHi Elisabeth, I'm glad to assist you. If the crankshaft seal dries out, cracks, or breaks, it can cause an oil leak. Small leaks can cause oil to accumulate on the undersides of the engine, while larger ones may produce a drip of oil from the front of the engine. If there is much leaking from your engine. It is best to have your car checked by an auto repair shop. One or two replacement seals to replace would not be enough for a 100% repair. I hope this helps. Show less
