A:BEST ANSWERHi David, Thank you for initiating contact. The "proper" way to replace the bumper reinforcing is to do what the factory does. Some reinforcements are bolted in by some manufacturers of cars and trucks. However, if it was welded it was probably designed that way for a reason and should be welded when replaced.
