Hyundai’s Veloster N is getting a number of upgrades for its next generation.

The hot hatch is one of the most affordable performance cars on the market today. But Hyundai is making it even more worth the money with new improvements.

Exclusively available with a six-speed manual transmission at the moment, the model is reportedly getting a dual-clutch automatic option for its next edition.

Hyundai recently confirmed the news through its official Instagram, sharing a video that shows the gear lever on the center console of the vehicle as well as paddle shifters mounted to the steering wheel.

But the DCT transmission is not the only new thing that’s coming for the Veloster N.

In the same video, performance seats can also be spotted, complete with a light-up logo in the backseat. These seats are believed to be heated, which is one of the biggest requests of Veloster N fans.

Right now, though, it remains to be seen when this version of the Veloster N is going to be available to customers. The model’s 2020 version is currently on sale but the automaker’s build-and-price site does not include the said features in the list of options. Neither has the company released any details pertaining to the release of these upgrades.

Moreover, it’s unclear if the DCT option will be offered with the model’s performance pack, which typically includes a 2.0-liter turbo engine that makes 250 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Should it be included in the performance pack, however, the horsepower is expected to reach 275.

Given that Hyundai is releasing information on the Veloster N via social media, it wouldn’t be surprising to find new updates through its channels in the coming months.
