Following Hyundai’s official introduction of the US-spec Tucson and the scheduled debut of its gas, hybrid, and plug-in vehicles, the automaker also confirmed the arrival of an N Line version. Similar to other N Line models in the lineup, this version of the compact SUV promises to deliver more power and aggressive styling than the conventional model.

Hyundai shared teaser photos of the Tucson N Line’s exterior and there are a number of features that stand out. For one, the model is expected to share the same 2.5-liter inline-four engine that also powers the Sonata. This makes the Tucson N Line one of the most powerful compact crossovers with an estimated 290 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque.

The model is also likely getting an all-wheel-drive layout as standard with the engine paired to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

When it comes to styling, the Tucson N Line will look a little different than the standard version with its larger wheels that come with a multi-spoke design. The front fascia will still get the same N Line treatment as other Hyundai models, specifically the grille design, while the rear end of the vehicle will get a diffuser-style insert underneath the bumper.
