When consumers decide to go with bigger vehicles like a truck, it’s almost always because they are looking for ample cargo space that smaller cars can’t provide. But there are cases, too, when the available truck space still doesn’t cut it, especially for those who like to lug around huge equipment.
This is where the Toyota 4Runner comes into the picture with its all-new Venture Edition. The trim level comes with a Yakima cargo basket as a standard equipment, giving owners additional room for more gear on the roof.
Based on the TRD Off-Road Premium, the Venture Edition is also powered by a V6 engine that makes 270 horsepower and is paired with a five-speed automatic transmission, as well as a part-time four-wheel drive with a two-speed transfer case and locking rear differential.
The Venture Edition also includes 17-inch gunmetal gray wheels, all-weather floor mats, and black exterior accents such as badges, mirror caps, door handles, and rear spoiler.
For the interior, the model features a larger 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa compatibility. It is also equipped with Toyota’s TSS-P active-safety suite that includes adaptive cruise control and automatic high-beams across all variants. Additionally, Toyota redesigned the 4Runner’s instrument cluster and added two USB ports for rear-seat passengers.
The Toyota 4Runner Venture Edition has a starting price of $45,405, $1,815 more than the brand’s TRD Off-Road Premium model.
