If there’s a Ram vehicle that could be considered most insane in terms of overall styling and features, it would be the 2021 Ram TRX, which was unveiled earlier this year. And for customers who are looking forward to its arrival, there’s good news: Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) just announced the new TRX is starting production.
The TRX will be built in the company’s Sterling Heights Assembly Plant in Michigan, where the standard Ram 1500s are also built. According to FCA’s announcement, the first Ram TRX to roll off the assembly line will be auctioned off for charity.
It remains to be seen which cause the proceeds will go to as well as when and where the fundraiser will take place. But FCA is expected to share more details about the event in the coming weeks.
The 2021 Ram TRX is based on the highly capable Ram 1500 chassis. It will be powered by the 6.2-liter V-8 engine from the Hellcat range and is projected to deliver up to 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque.
