Nissan hints at a new exterior styling for the Nissan Kicks as it shares images of the model’s global version.

Although the Japanese automaker has not talked about the United States version of the model in detail, a look at the recently revealed global version of the car gives the public an idea of what it will look like once it debuts in America.

The Nissan Kicks first arrived in the US for the 2018 model year and is currently offered as the cheapest crossover from the brand. Its upcoming version for 2021 will be the vehicle’s mid-cycle refresh, suggesting a few styling updates and new features.

If there’s one thing that will likely not be included on the US..-spec Kicks, though, it could be Nissan’s e-Power hybrid system. While there have been reports that the automaker is working to release the gas-electric drivetrain in the U.S., it may not be for the 2021 Kicks crossover.

Nissan USA is expected to release more details on the 2021 Kicks in the coming months. The model is presumed to arrive at dealerships either by the end of this year or early next year with a starting price close to the current version’s $20,165.
