The redesigned Nissan Armada full-size SUV for the 2021 model year is here.

It sports a new look for its front and rear, including a bolder grille and the new Nissan logo, and features a revamped interior with a 12.3-inch infotainment screen and wireless Apple CarPlay capability as standard equipment.

The revamped SUV is also getting an optional Midnight Edition package, which gives it a trendy blacked-out appearance for a $1,990 top-up price.

However, with these new features and more standard equipment comes a price increase. For this model year, the Armada is getting a starting price of $49,895, which is $1,000 more than the previous model. Still, it’s cheaper than market rivals Ford Expedition and Chevrolet Tahoe, both of which have starting prices over $50,000.

The entry-level S model, the new addition to the Armada range for 2021 that is scheduled to go on sale at a later date, features cloth seats, 18-inch wheels, and a four-speaker audio system. The previous base model, the SV, now retails for $53,895—$5,000 more than the outgoing edition. It comes with heated leatherette seats, roof rails, two more speakers, wireless charging, and a trailer brake controller.

Next to the SV is the SL trim, which is $3,600 more expensive at $57,295. Along with leather seats, it is packed with a power moonroof, a Bose sound system, a 360-degree camera, and a set of 20-inch wheels.

Meanwhile, the range-topping Platinum has a starting price of $66,295. It comes with quilted leather seats, rear heated seats, power reclining seats, a digital rearview mirror, and a set of 22-inch wheels. It’s a $2,970 increase from the 2020 model.

All variants of the Nissan Armada are equipped with a 5.6-liter V-8 engine mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission. The setup delivers 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque with a rear-wheel-drive as standard. All-wheel-drive is also offered as an option for all models for an additional charge of $3,000.
