Another special edition is on the way for the Jeep Wrangler, but this time it’s for the Rubicon trim level.

JL Wrangler Forums was the first to report about the addition of a new edition for the iconic model, which is yet to be confirmed by the automaker. It is said to be named the Recon Special Edition and is reportedly packed with more off-road equipment to further boost the rough-road capabilities of the Wrangler Rubicon.

The package will only be offered on the top-level trim, which comes with all-terrain tires as standard equipment, as well as locking front and rear Dana 44 axles and a low 4:1 transfer case.

The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is allegedly having a special edition that will equip the iconic model with more rough-road capabilities.

For the Recon Edition, the Wrangler Rubicon will be equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engine paired to an optional eight-speed automatic transmission.

It also features LED headlights and taillights, a red and black hood stripe decal, Moab rock rails, black wheels, a gloss black grille, body-color fenders, a special Recon fender badge, front and rear steel bumpers with bumper loops, and a black hardtop roof. The interior includes red seatbelts and seat bolsters with red stitching.

The complete package is priced at $2,755, complete with all upgrades–a total bargain compared with the $5,630 sum if the features are individually purchased.

Jeep has remained mum about the Recon Edition.
